The established production area is limited to 75 municipalities. Two of these towns give this wine its name: Conegliano, the cultural center, and Valdobbiadene, the production hub.

Ruffino applies a clear protocol for the production of its Prosecco. Only a part of the must undergoes alcoholic fermentation to become wine, while the remainder is stored in the cellar at zero degrees. The Charmat method is used to bring about a secondary fermentation before the wine is bottled under pressure, upholding the hallmark fruity and floral aromas of the grape variety.
